The National Action Plan to the Population and Housing Census 2021 is subject for commenting process

Last meeting of expert team on preparation of the National Action Plan to the Population and Housing Census 2021 for years 2017-2020 was carried out on 11th January 2017 in Bratislava.

The main item of the agenda was the evaluation of comments on the draft of document, which could be applied by involved ministries, organizations within their jurisdiction, other central bodies of state administration, the Association of Towns and Municipalities and the Union of Towns of Slovakia through their representatives in the expert team.

The result of the four-month work of the expert team is draft of National Action Plan to the Population and Housing Census 2021 for years 2017-2020. The material specifies not only intention of the next census, its philosophy and meaning, but it also includes activities and measures which are necessary to ensure in the Slovak Republic for successful transition from traditional to integrated census.

Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic has proceeded the National Action Plan to the Population and Housing Census 2021 for years 2017-2020 for the commenting process. Process will culminate by submission of the material to the Government of the Slovak Republic.

Statistical Office of the SR is grateful to the members of the expert team for their contribution to the production of the National Action Plan to the Population and Housing Census 2021 for years 2017-2020. Statistical Office of the SR believes that jointly developed document will become a platform for broad cooperation the preparation of the Census 2021. Successful implementation of this project in terms of the increasing importance of data in all areas of life is not only big challenge for statisticians but for the whole society.
