The National Action Plan to the Census 2021 will be discussed by the Economic and Social Council of the SR
17th February 2017
Today Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic in accordance with the Working Plan of the Government of the SR for February has sent the National Action Plan to the Population and Housing Census 2021 for years 2017-2020 for discussion with the Economic and Social Council of the SR. This is a standard procedure which will culminate in the submission of the material to the Government of the Slovak Republic. The National Action Plan to the Population and Housing Census 2021 for years 2017-2020 has main importance in terms of preparing the first integrated census in the Slovak Republic.
Census 2021 begins the new era of modern censuses in Slovakia, which are based on maximal usage of data obtained from registers and administrative data sources. Unlike the previous censuses, it will only require data from inhabitants that cannot be obtained from registers and administrative data sources.
The success of the first integrated census is conditioned by cooperation especially with the administrators of the registers and administrative data because data obtained from these sources are not primary collected for statistical purposes. Statistical Office of the SR believes that the National Action Plan to the Population and Housing Census 2021 for years 2017-2020 will be an appropriate instrument to achieve this cooperation and presentation of census for general public.
